  • Take my life, make it clay
Shape this life in intricate ways
I want to be a child of faith
But what my heart wants most my body turns away
I push Your ways aside and wonder why I let pride decide every time

But I can’t wait to be free
From this life of mindless sin that compromises me
I know one day I will be
There is a victory that You’ve won for me
And when You come back again
    I’ll be free

Turn my eyes to Your face
Let me draw from Your strength
    And bathe in Your grace
Let me soar with wings to win this race
Let me have Your peace it’s not a hopeless chase
‘Cause I lose sight of all You have called me to be
And it takes so much to drop me to my knees

But I can’t wait to be free
From this life of mindless sin that compromises me
I know one day I will be
There is a victory that You’ve won for me
And when You come back again
    I’ll be free

I know one day I will be
There is a victory that You’ve won for me
And when You come back again
    I’ll be free

Take my life, make it clay
Shape this life in intricate ways
I want to be a child of faith
But what my heart wants most my body turns away…

But I know one day I’ll be free…

  • yes, people can speak all they want about our Lord Jesus.
yes, people can attend their little Bible studies and their little religious activities.
but is the fruit there? is what they are learning showing in their lives?

“…likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
a good tree cannot bear good fruit.
every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.” mt. 7:15-20

it is true, that one might yearn for Him during worship on Sundays..
but do they yearn and long for Him throughout the entire week?
is it more than some ‘emotional feeling’?
‘humanism’ seems to have taken over Christianity…no one knows the difference anymore!

for as it says: ”…I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot,
I wish that you were either one or the other!
so, because you are lukewarm-neither hot nor cold-
I am about to spit you out of My mouth.” revelation 3:14-16

for what is the definition of luke warm?

    Main Entry: luke·warm
    Pronunciation: ‘lük-’worm
    Function: adjective
    1 : moderately warm : halfhearted
    2 : lacking conviction

exactly. where is the Church at now?
can we say that we are burning-hot for Him?
can i say that my heart’s on fire for the Lord?

won’t you move me like you used to?
i want the world to know i burn for You
i feel revived again, i am alive again
burnin for You- You got me lifted and lifted, you lift me up
changed inside – more flame in the fire
can’t stop, won’t stop praying for desire!

“the weakness of so many modern Christians is that they feel too much at home in the world. in their effort to achieve restful “adjustment” to unregenerate society they have lost their pilgrim character and become an essential part of the very moral order against which they are sent to protest. the world recognizes them and accepts them for what they are. and this is the saddest thing that can be said about them. they are not lonely, but neither are they saints…”
    -a.w. tozer (the radical cross)

draw me closer to You Lord…
as i am drawn away from me…
away from what i desire and what i seek…
may i only seek You alone

(i would like to post some nice-feel good writing on here, but this is what the Lord has been laying on my heart lately…so this will have to do.)

    be blessed! :)

  • i’ve tried more of me
    and i’ve come up dry
    trading You for things
    things that go away
my happiness is found in less
of me and more of You

i have found the answer is
to love You and be loved by You alone
You crucify me and the world to me
and i will only boast in You

    i’m so satisfied
    at the thought of You
    growing up in me
    covering everything
my happiness is found in less
of me and more of You

You are, You are (loved by me)
You are, You are (You’re loved by me)

  • sitting in church this morning. watching over 50 men pouring their hearts out to God. crying. desperately in need of Him. to see such a thing! these men (20-50 of age) come from a group called Purelife….(a group where they are sent away for weeks at a time to overcome major problems with pornography.) how broken their hearts were…how i felt His prescence so much in the room…..their crying hearts…oh, how the Lord can use these very people to bring glory to His name! just as david…he can use everyone of them for His purpose. an ordinary man…for God’s extroadinary purposes.

it seems as though the broken-hearted are the ones that draw the closest to the Lord. the Lord works through the weary and weak that truly long for Him! the people whos pride is completely crushed…to rely on the Lord alone. oh, you should have seen these men crying, in desperate worship…their hearts yearn…their hearts becoming anew…on FIRE they were! to be on fire for the Lord all of the time…not just here and there…but to live in His prescence daily-to be the breath of God-this is what we are called to do!

    refining fire

    amy camichael

o Lord our God, to Thee is known
    our inmost heart’s desire;
    Thy love is fire, Thy love alone;
o bathe our souls in fire.

and purely purge away our dross,
    and take away our tin;
and by the virtue of Thy Cross
    renew us, Lord, within.

o turn Thy hand, Thy wounded hand,
on us who love Thy name,
and make us a holy band,
    a single, burning flame.

“for no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. if any man builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, or straw, his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man’s work.” 1 corinthians 3:11-13

“therefore, since we are recieving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.” hebrews 12:28-29

‘burn away everything in our lives so that all remains is You,

consuming fire of God, and so our lives will burn bright in glory to Your name.’

  • WHAT ARE YOU, IF YOU DO NOT LEARN LOVE?

“and though i have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge,
and though i have all faith, so that i could remove mountains, but have not love, i am nothing.” 1 cor 13:2

“now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” 1 cor 13:13

“let all that you do be done with love.” 1 cor 16:14

if His love is in me, let it be shown to others…putting others before myself. may my only focus be of Him and His love…Yeshua.

  • i give it all

    i give it all

i come to You with a simple gift

i come to You with a broken heart

    take my life

    i give it all

    i give it all

not for me, not for me-but Your glory

  • so i take my time to gaze upon You

to sit here and to breathe You in

how Your beauty surrounds my being

    and Your mercy pierces within

rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.” php. 3:3

“oh, let the nations be glad and sing for joy! for You shall judge the people righteously, and govern the nations on earth. selah.” Ps. 67:4

  • a good friend gave me an excerpt of oswald chambers the other day:

“don’t preach salvation; don’t preach holiness; don’t preach the baptism of the Holy Ghost; preach Jesus Christ and everything else will take its right place.”

(i think it speaks for itself )

“when teachers love their teachings more than they love Jesus, then they are saying that Jesus is not enough….when preachers love their preaching more than they love Jesus, then they are saying that Jesus is not enough….when musicians love their music more than they love Jesus, then they are saying that Jesus is not enough…”-chip brogden

“grace be with all who have undying love for our Lord Jesus Christ.” eph. 6:4
