  • in one week i will be here for almost a month…

    (deutschland?? yes’m! ) :)

however, here is this for now…

“love one another. as I have loved you, so you must love one another.
by this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. john 13:34-35

though many may come against you….you are still to have unconditional love. this is true mark of a true disciple. we must have surrendered our own will and ‘flesh’ and have gone into complete submission, lowering and humbling ourselves under our enemies. at times, such submission and love is often blocked by what we call spiritual pride, a haughty spirit, or an un-surrendered life to Christ. does it not say to forgive as our Father forgives? yes, it does…however, i find myself sworn to “i’ve forgiven them!” but really the Lord reveals sin in me such as a hint of bitterness i still have for that person. i haven’t truly forgiven them. and many people do this…they say that they forgive, however there is still much bitterness and not much un-conditional love. often people are completely blinded and decieved that they should forgive someone! they will blame others, or they are afraid their reputation might decrease, etc. if i truly want to follow Christ, without “me” being in the way, i know that i must have un-conditional love for others around me. for as it says….if you do not learn love…you are nothing. (1 cor. 13:3)

“forgiveness is not: tolerance. pretending. forgetting. generosity of spirit.
looking the other way. making a joke of a wrong. a passive non-response.

    forgiveness is something much deeper!

forgiveness is: a deliberate act of the will. a full pardon. a substitutional act.
obedience to God’s word. the key to freedom. “ ~liberty savard

“…clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility,
gentleness, and patience…forgive as the Lord forgave you..”
    col. 3:12, 13

Lord, may i be an empty vessel full of patience and love that only You can provide… oh, not i..but Christ..

  • “To forgive is more than a matter of speech. It is the full-blooded energy of one life working to the full deliverance of another live. To forgive a man is to deliver a man and that will require your thought, your prayer, your speech and your deeds” (I. Lilias Trotter).

  • Great post, Arielle!! Are you counting the days??!! ;) It’s sooo exciting!! I’m glad you have such a God-given adventurous spirit!! He will use that in many ways! All for His glory, because you are willing to GO!! Even though there are many things that you are not yet prepared for, I see that He is doing an awesome work of preparation and before you know it, He will be filling you up and pouring you out, more and more! As you are faithful and obedient, He will find you trustworthy. To the faithful, He shows Himself faithful, to the pure, He shows Himself pure. And blessed are the pure in heart for they shall SEE God!! :)

Forgiveness, a choice, an act of the will and then letting it go, for good. Casting it in the sea of forgetfulness, imitating the Lord, for when we remind Him of sin He has already forgiven, He reminds us it is ” As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.” Psalm 103:12. And we are to forgive AS He has forgiven us!! Blessings to you!! Love to you! ~ Lois

  • Awesome thoughts. Forgiveness is a hard one, only because we cn so easily think we have “forgiven” someone. This post really blessed me today, just as your posts do so often. Peace of Christ!

  • Forgiveness… so true, so true. It also helps free the person so the Lord can work in their lives as well as heal any issues in your relationship with them. He showed me this through my own sister. Great post.

Germany eh? Awesome! – I am so excited for you. I got to go to Europe for 6 months when I was seventeen and LOVED IT!! Have a great time.. Why ya going?

  • well, my friend Christina calls me Yota! hehe!  Anyways, GREAT POST AGAIN!!! I needed to remember that this morning. And I need to pray about it also. I try so hard to forgive…but I know that there is a lil bit left. I need to work on that…when God forgives he forgives it’s over…so I should to. God bless you, and I’ll be looking forward to talking to you when I get back!!!

When are you comming back again?

    Atoy

  • Wie geht es Ihnen?  Sprechen Sie Deutsch?  I necessarily don’t . . . I just had two years of it in highschool MANY years ago. I’m just dropping by right now, but will visit again and read some of your entries.  May I ask . . . why are you in Germany? God bless you as you shine for Him!  Carolyn

  • hey there.  yeah where i am in life now isnt strongly reflecting Christ anymore.  i dont know how i ended up where i am.  i know ill be back there someday.  therefore i try to make everything reflect how i feel including music i play on my site.  if you follow any of my entries then you kinda know whats been going on, at least somewhat.  anyways, im happy though and content but yeah im not exactly the same as i used to.  if i kept that stuff on my site i would feel like a liar…and i desire to be honest and authentic.  have a great day

  • Well, pleased to “meet” you.

Yeah, I graduated from Grace. My time there was good, and I learned there how to be a Christian thinker, rather than just allowing my beliefs to be spoonfed to me. I’d recommend it, though I know that no place can be for everyone and God may want you elsewhere.

I will say a prayer for you today re: the crazy college decision process.

  • LOVE YOUR SONG! and you too! :)
