  • this weekend we went down to louisiana to meet up with a pastor. with him, his family, others from california and texas we went to bogalusa, louisiana. this is a very poor neighborhood in which the people still do not have electricity and running water. the Lord was faithful and we were able to find a church parking lot in the town where we could park the trucks and distribute the things. as everyone passed things out, we were also able to pray with the people and encourage them. it broke my heart seeing the little kids so excited over a coloring book or talking with an elderly man who loved his little dog. we passed out Bibles and actually had people ask for them. one lady told me that her husband was a street preacher and needed study Bibles. another girl, walked away with one of my books from our car. we also had a doctor with us from california who went from house to house seeing who needed medical attention.

“…whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks
of the Water that I shall give him will never thirst. but the water that
I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing
    up into everlasting life.”
    john 4:13-14

..that others may see Christ that they might not thirst again. not just when a hurricane hits, or a disaster happens..but 24/7. may we live a surrendered life that shows others that there is One who will satisfy them and bring them to a place of hope and rest.

  • Awesome Pictures. Keep up the good work!

  • Good for you.

I enjoyed the pictures. Well, for some of them “enjoy” might not be the right word. But there were a lot of cute kids.

  • Hi Arielle! Welcome home! Thank you for sharing a small glimpse of the, I’m sure, life-changing days you’ve had. :) I trust there will be much to be seen in the days ahead through the new eyes the Lord has given you. A deeper walk, more capacity for more of His love and compassion to flow in and through you. A new perspective. A thankful heart. I look forward to witnessing the outflow of His input. :) Blessings and much love to you! Lois

  • and i add to the welcome home! i have been praying for and thinking about you since you first went down there … i praise Him for using the various situations/circumstances to stretch you in ways that only He can … mmm … yup that’s all for now …

  • The pictures were really inspiring and eye-opening. I thank God that He calls the body of Christ into action in times like this. Thank you so much for representing our Lord in that situation that is so full of despair and destruction. I pray that you would continue to be a beautiful reflection of the light of Jesus Christ to all those around you. It is beautiful to see smiles on the faces of the children.
    God bless!

  • Your trip looks amazing!!

  • Wow!  Who took those pictures?  Some of them look like they were taken with a 35mm camera.  Oh man, someone from California was there?!  Ahhh!  =(  Well, that’s awesome that you got to go back down.  It’s awesome Arielle.

  • God bless you for your work in La. and for your kind words at my place.

    His Peace2u –

  • Amen.

Glad you get out and about, Arielle.  I wish I could do that more often…

    keep up the faith

  • hey you

so i have been starting to work on general things on applications for seminaries … your mom was telling me you’re looking at them too … do you know of any other seminaries in ky besides asbury? it’s the one of my top two … southwestern baptist theological in fort worth, tx is my “first choice” as of right now … i was thinking more full gospel, or assembelies of God … i don’t know if you know of any in ky, or the southern states … lemme know! : )

  • Good job! “He who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.” May God reward you greatly!

Thanks for your previous comment and encouragement!  Bless you! :)

  • Oh, I wrote “Thanks for your previous comment and encouragement!”  but then it became “previous thought”… after posting…

  • Great job on the pic’s! So glad you had a great trip, you deserve it!

    Blessings to you!

  • hi : ) mmm … asbury looks and seems pretty awesome … i still have the rest of this year to consider options … i know i will be applying to those schools and then pending acceptances or rejections to see where God directs … so in this year, i only ask that you and your family pray for me, and please pray along with me … because i surely cannot do this on my own efforts, my own will or desires … i looked into grace a little while back … but since i’ve been in college, even my last two years of highschool my fascination to be a part of and learn the culture of the south, and be immersed into it has been ever-growing … i want to go beyond the history books, sterotypes, and rumors … i want to break down walls and barriers of race and everything else … i know that it may be tough as i have been forewarned – but i will not back down, being that it is where the Lord leads … so pray hard as will i both study and pray hard! thanks … i am being blessed by the knowledge and action of His grace and love upon my life … His hand has never stopped moving … even when i stopped loving and obeying Him with my life at times … how wonderful … how redeeming …

  • what is “race”? what is “color”? i don’t believe God made race … i believe humans formed race in every sense of the word that it has become today … i think it’s a pity that even the body of Christ becomes divided because of issues like that amongst issues like spiritual gifts and speaking or not speaking in tounges …
