  • You’re calling me to lay aside the worries of my day

to quiet down my busy mind and find a hiding place

    worthy, You are worthy

i open up my heart and let my spirit worship Yours

i open up my mouth and let a song of praise come forth

    worthy, You are worthy

    of a child-like faith

    and of my honest praise

    and of my unashamed love

    of a holy life

    and of my sacrifice

    and of my unashamed love..

you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. therefore, whoever

humbles himself like this chikd is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”

  • Hi Arielle! Thank you so much for your prayers! :) Such beautiful pics of McKenna! Makes me want to hug her. :) I love that song, thanks for the reminder. :) A simple childlike faith, is all that He asks of us. A belated Happy Birthday! Sweet Sixteen!! :) May the Lord continue to flood and fill your heart with all the desires of His as He reveals them to you, each one. Let each one be a treasure that you would sell all that you have to purchase. The pearls are found in the oysters after the irritation of the grain has finished its work. Many blessings and much love to you! ysi-Grace

  • Those are great photos. I have never fully pondered on the words of this song….

John 12 vs 42Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they would not confess their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue; 43for they loved praise from men more than praise from God.

I have been thinking of these words. The challenge we face as young people is being afraid to stand out. The desire is so great to be accepted by fellow students, friends, etc and fear of the rejection of man overcomes us. Arielle, keep the candle lit and stay on the hill where all can see. Men may grow weary of you, but God will be pleased with you and bless you. No matter what challenges that lie ahead, remember that it is better to face the beatings of man and his rejection than to be rejected by God.

Keep up the good fight, run with zealously in a manner to get the crown. Never grow weary of the Holy Spirit’s correction of nudgings. God rebukes those whom He loves. Live for Him and always seek to know the mind of the Spirit in all decisions. And above all as a child of God, live in great reverence for God and obey your parents.

May God be with you even as you face the challenges of being a “sweet sixteen”. Happy birthday once again!

    Sof
