{ A Native American. }
…When I saw this man, I noticed something. I saw humility. As I looked into this man’s face, I couldn’t help but notice such meekness within him. Such beauty. I really cannot explain why I saw him like I did. All that I know is that after seeing these people and talking with them, something was brought to mind. As I watched these people who had lost so much through out the years and seemed some what hopeless, I became aware of how content they were. They had so little, so little left…but they seemed so thankful.
Seeing this really made me realize once again how much Americans have. We live in abundance of so many things. We are blessed; I can’t even describe it. We are so blessed that sometimes it is hard to look past our lovely things, our vacations, our material wealth, or just pride in general. I don’t want to be caught up in all of this. I want to always be content. To be content, in His beloved love…in His light. To look out and reach out to others who need a touch of His love. This is what I want.
“Free me from these binds, Lord
I am choking on the gifts this world gives, Jesus
I am waiting on Your love..”
[[ My trip to Arizona was great. I saw so many things that I have never imagined I could have seen. I saw the Lord’s beauty in His handiwork and in His people. Yes, He is such as wonderful Creator. (Something to note: When I arrived very early at the airport to leave for Arizona I saw the lovely Bethany Dillon at Starbucks…later on I saw that she was in my terminal and so I went up and talked to her. She was so kind and it turned out that she was on my flight....How amazing is that? One of those "divine appointments" I guess...) I also stepped across the Grand Canyon ... and met some of the kindest westerners I’ve ever met. Beautiful time was spent. Now it’s awful nice to be back in Kentucky

And so…I praise Him and give Him thanks. “For I have learned in whatever circumstance to be content…” Remembering always that “Godliness with contentment is great gain.”
Blessed be the name of the Lord.

Wow! Thanks for sharing all those great pics!
So glad you have such an “eye” and can take such great pictures. Feels almost like being there!
What is the name of the Native Indian Tribe there? Such beautifully bright and colourful costumes. I love the colours! And I love your heart for seeing what He sees.
You are so precious to Him and all of us. Thanks for sharing. Oh, I love those Scriptures you shared here.
Some of my favourites. Of course, I have too many favourites! lol! Glad you had a good time, I’m sure it is one more building block that He will use to create more of His character within.
Bless you! Much love, Lois
That’s awesome! Thanks for the post and pics! God bless.
In Him,
Bryan
That’s so beautiful…
Yeah–to be content, yet to press relentlessly into His love.
That sounds like such a great trip. The picture of the Grand Canyon is amazing. And wow–meeting Bethany Dillon like that? How amazing is that!
I would have loved to meet her. Divine appointments are cool.
Amen
Be blessed today!
I got the chance this summer to sit down and talk with a Indian who was taking classes with me out in California… he was an Indian judge… it was truly fascinating to learn his perspective of his culture and the struggles and joys of it.
Wow. I stumbled across your site, and it is a blessing.
May the Lord continue to bless you as you follow him WHOLE heartedly!

Oh, Arielle…I remember standing on the rim of that great canyon and thinking that it looked too awesome to be real–that is was surely an illusion! I had the sensation that it was merely a gorgeous painting on a canvas and that if I could only touch it, I would be able to press through to the other side. Yes, the Grand Canyon is truly one of our Lord’s great creations! It is wonderful to have you back among us on xanga. I am always blessed by you! My prayers are with you…In His amazing love, Paula
wow, I never knew Arizona was that beautiful. I have always thought it was flat like Texas. You inspire me to go and visit Arizona.
I loved the pictures you shared, especially the Indian photo, and the little brown haired girl on the bottom right of your xanga site. I liked the mini movie and the pictures on smugmug. You take great photos.
I enjoyed your blog… it remidns me of a devotional I read yesterday about cloaking ourselves with kindness and humility in Col. chapter 12. That we should seek only God and be happy for others who are (or seem) more fortunate than we are.
God Bless
Our pastor has been preaching from Matthew 6 the past few Sundays. So convicting. Oh, to live as a missionary every day!

oh man arielle….
One of my favorite persons in the scriptures is Moses. Because of his humility, it says he knew God face to face, and was His friend. Now thats something to work for…
ps:::do you now take pictures for a living? ::because they’re sweet::
^^ [[ here you will see what ''denzelinhotlanta'' means about God and moses....it's pure truth::: ]]

Yep, I’ve heard of Koo Chung and Neah Lee, and I have a friend whose youth group is very close with Koo Chung
Minnow Park visited our church, because I think our senior pastor knows him. I talked to him, and he’s so nice! Teehees =)
Thanks for inviting me to the upgraded Xanga profile, by the way…
God bless you today! May His love and mercy envelop your heart and your life.
Thank you for your comments and subscription!
May God continue to show you all the beauty around you, especially the beauty of the Lord! Bless you!
Ariell- what beautiful pictures! Second only to your beautiful heart for God.
I agree with everything you wrote here. But I had additional thoughts. Our hearts are made so that there are needs we have that cannot be filled outside of God. A life spent playing with earthly blessings is oddly empty, missing something. You can see it in the eyes and in the restless body language. There’s a hardness, too, and a resistance to humility, to spiritual awareness that comes with it — it can be sensed under the surface somehow and in the tone of voice. How do people get to this point? How do we avoid the trap? I think this is part of what you are saying. I have observed that the key for me is to remember, to always hold before me like a lamp on my path, that for me to live is Christ. He is my life. Only He can meet my need. The other things are good, indeed they can be blessings from Him. But they are not Him. He is the prize, the treasure in the field, the rare and precious pearl, the consuming fire, the heart of my heart, and the light of my eyes. This binds me to Him in devoted passion and keeps me by His side.
you are so beautiful arielle.
Yes I did have a xanga before about a year ago. Thanks for your love and encouragement. May He bless you and continue to use you.
In Him,
Bryan
Here in OK our church in very involved with the Native American’s. “Home of the red man”. It’s amazing how much they have to offer, and how repentive their hearts are towards everything that has happened. They are committed people.
Loved the pictures, they are beautiful.
Blessings, Monique
Hey sweet Arielle! I just wanted to stop by and say HOWDY to one of my favorite xanga people…I wanted to remind you today that you are His special creation and His plans for you will be fulfilled.
