  • yes, people can speak all they want about our Lord Jesus.
yes, people can attend their little Bible studies and their little religious activities.
but is the fruit there? is what they are learning showing in their lives?

“…likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
a good tree cannot bear good fruit.
every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.” mt. 7:15-20

it is true, that one might yearn for Him during worship on Sundays..
but do they yearn and long for Him throughout the entire week?
is it more than some ‘emotional feeling’?
‘humanism’ seems to have taken over Christianity…no one knows the difference anymore!

for as it says: ”…I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot,
I wish that you were either one or the other!
so, because you are lukewarm-neither hot nor cold-
I am about to spit you out of My mouth.” revelation 3:14-16

for what is the definition of luke warm?

    Main Entry: luke·warm
    Pronunciation: ‘lük-’worm
    Function: adjective
    1 : moderately warm : halfhearted
    2 : lacking conviction

exactly. where is the Church at now?
can we say that we are burning-hot for Him?
can i say that my heart’s on fire for the Lord?

won’t you move me like you used to?
i want the world to know i burn for You
i feel revived again, i am alive again
burnin for You- You got me lifted and lifted, you lift me up
changed inside – more flame in the fire
can’t stop, won’t stop praying for desire!

“the weakness of so many modern Christians is that they feel too much at home in the world. in their effort to achieve restful “adjustment” to unregenerate society they have lost their pilgrim character and become an essential part of the very moral order against which they are sent to protest. the world recognizes them and accepts them for what they are. and this is the saddest thing that can be said about them. they are not lonely, but neither are they saints…”
    -a.w. tozer (the radical cross)

draw me closer to You Lord…
as i am drawn away from me…
away from what i desire and what i seek…
may i only seek You alone

(i would like to post some nice-feel good writing on here, but this is what the Lord has been laying on my heart lately…so this will have to do.)

    be blessed! :)

  • Thank you for sharing your heart! May many more stop and examine their own hearts and see that He is drawing them to Himself, and that He is worthy of all. May we see Him as He is and forget who we are except in Him. Blessings to you!!
